A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice. The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"

After service he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways.

It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God...If you still speak to people speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey."

As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strongest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk.

The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home.

As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that street." This is crazy he thought and drove on past the intersection. Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will". He drove several blocks, when suddenly,  he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in semi commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighbourhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed.

Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid."

Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally,
he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here."

He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?"

Then the door opened before the young man could get away. The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out  of  bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to  have  some stranger standing on his doorstep. "What is it?"

The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk." His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I ask him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers.

Sometimes it's the simplest things that God asks us to do that cause us, if we are obedient to what He's asking, to be able to hear His voice more clear than ever. Please listen, and obey! It will bless you(and the world). Phil 4:13

Have I Ever

Have I ever told you
that if I sit really still and silent,
sometimes. I like to think
I can hear your heart beating
in time with mine?

Have I ever told you
that when I watch you speak to me
through lines and cords,
and bytes and ram,
I imagine
your voice,
whispering into my ear?

Have I ever told you
that I wait out each day
in anticipation,
wanting
only an hour or two,
just a second in space and time,
to feel close to you?

Have I ever told you
that there has been times,
when I ached for you,
ached for you so badly,
that the emotions overwhelmed me..
and so I sat and cried?

Have I ever told you
that sometimes,
I will reach out,
touching your name
on this cold screen before me,
wishing
I could reach in
and pull you to me?

Have I ever told you
that after the first time I heard
the sound of your voice,
thousands of miles away,
I sat up all night,
turning the conversation over and over
in my mind,
examining it,
like some newly discovered species of flower?

Have I ever told you
that I dream of you often,
I dream of you reaching out
and touching my hand,
simply to let me know
that you are there,
and everything is okay?

Have I ever told you,
have I still yet to tell you . . .

that i love you

Old Frens Reunion

I have been meeting up with old frens for the past few weeks after quitting my job. Firstly, my sec school buddy auntie Shirlyn was back from Lim Kok Wing and we had fun chilling out together n updating with each other….then comes Mayleen.…Hweechia….Chiewkim….Yitong….my dear volleyball teammates!!! We went back CONVENT to play volleyball. Yeah VOLLEYBALL rocks! my all time favourite!!!! We were late for more than 1 hour and poor Rachael n Jia-er were waiting for us early in the morning in sch....hehe... Who were missing out? ---Chiawen(exams in nus), Chewyen(A2 finals in taylors), Janet(busied wid STPM), Pieahoon(Busied wid family affairs) Mayleen was not there that day coz she had gone back KL. A small vb reunion without a few members. It would be great if all of them were with us too! Nvm there’s always a chance for all of us to gather around and play volleyball together like last time. Altho it seems hard for all of us to have holidays at the same time but I'm anticipating for that day to come!

After volleyball,NEWAY---let ur voices out and lets shout to the microphones baby! Chiewkim the high pitch champ! Salute**! Flight plan---a nice movie with good plot! Jodie Foster is GOOD. I like her daughter!!

Shopping

Lets shop, shop and SHOP more!! Wahahaha….Temptations in Spore were irresistible!! Yitong, Chailyn, Hweechia and I spent the whole day shopping in Far East, Orchard.  Chiawen came to meet up with us after her exam. Physically exhausted but we were happy and satisfied on the way back to jb……..lalalalalala*******.

The most famous nasi lemak in JB----Senibong nasi lemak. Ia betul-betul berlemak!! It tastes real good but I guess if I eat it everyday continuously for 1 week i would end up getting all my veins blocked and slowly die of arteriosclerosis…. lolz…*touchwood* anyway who would want to eat the same thing over and over again?

1 plate of nasi lemak shared by 2 girls and 2 guys. Satu nasi lemak, 4 sudu. Satu orang dua suap. Speciality: nasi berLEMAK, chicken and 2 small LIVERS. Disgusted by the liver? i quitted!

i quitted! i finally quitted!!! It has been 4 days since i quitted Lavender. haha..Continue working at lavender? FAT chance! i will never go back to this line. Customers always right! what the ****!! Forgetting about having to stand long hours. Those unfriendly rich aunties treated us like orang kuli......simply threw temper at us..Or some of them even asked for unreasonable returns. What can we do? we could only swallow down all the anger and serve them with a forced smile. Well i supposed experience was more worthwhile...yes...i get to meet different ppl..unfriendly and impatient aunties, troublesome uncles, inconsiderate ppl, hot tempered ppl, jokers, funny and nice ppl, elegant working ladies, humble businessman and businesswomen...etc....Get to learn the correct technique of cutting mooncake, get to pick up some 'effective' promoting skills, given a chance to learn and practise logistic as well as getting to know more friends......all of these were what i have gained after being a kuli for 4 weeks n 3 days in lavender...

My x-colleagueand i had a reunion lunch at lavender bistro on tuesday...It was actually the day we supposed to return all the lavender belongings..We had GREAT fun teasing the staffs as well as the managers..lolz...we were the loudest group that day...i guess all of them were having headache serving us....since we knew them so well and we have worked hard together for lavender before, we deserved a 20% discount for all the dishes we hav ordered...After that..movie time..!! n we had a nice and fun outing till at night....

The Chinese 7th month is a time when the gates of Hell open. Often known as the Hungry Ghost Festival, it is a time where the spirits of the dead wander around...........

Have u watch The Maid? i watched it last sunday with my family....haha...midnight movie at GSC.... i would say it was more liked a comedy than a ghost story. i could hear laughings rather than screamingsss in the cinema!!!! I admit it some parts were kinda funny...really funny....especially when the ghost appeared! lolzzzz...

i worked morning shift today. hehe... i love morning shift. i had to take out all the snow-skin mooncakes and put them nicely in the transparent fridge for display. After that i had to cut the sample mooncakes. haha.. it was fun and ermm... wat is the word..ohh yes..romantic. lolz..can u imagine that. cutting mooncakes into small tiny pieces with the classical music playing peacefully around.....And putting one piece into my mouth while cutting them aahhhh~~~wahahaha..... wat if there was someone with me? u know la... 'someone'...wooooh~~ that would be perfect romantic!!too bad, i was working alone this morning....sigh~~ but i was enjoying that moment *wink*

i dont have to buy mooncakes to taste all different kind of flavours. i have the priviledge to eat whatever flavours i like while working...hehe..And no one dare to come and scold me. Yes i have the priviledge! hahaha....i get to taste all different flovours of the snow-skin mooncakes. And i fell in love with yam and black sesame. i love the green tea also, it has red bean inside the green tea paste....i like other flavours as well, we have orange, banana, strawberry with red bean, durian, chocolate and pandan....hahaha......

Been working for almost 1 week. many funny and embarrassed incidents happened. i dropped an egg tart this morning. lolzz..i was actually helping a customer to take the egg tart to the counter.... And the egg tart jz slipped off the tray while i was walking....lolz... luckily the customer didnt saw it! i quickly thew it away n took a new one, too bad my supervisor saw it!she didnt scold me, the funny thing was that she acted blur, liked nothing happened...lolzzzzz... And u know ppl always like to name their products or food with those nice and long chinese words. Mooncakes are not exempted! sometimes i couldnt remember the names. we have one mooncake packing called 'qi1 xing1 ban4 yue4', it means 7 stars surrounding a moon. Last few days when i was promoting it to a customer, something slipped out from my mouth before i realised it. Instead of saying the correct name i said another thing, and it has another meaning, i guess. And that time was quite quiet and i was saying it a little bit too loud, so almost everybody heard it! All of them, including my supervisors laughed till they couldnt laugh anymore! aiiyooo~~~~

Pn yeoh came to buy some breads today. we have a small talk but that time was quite busy...So happy when i get to see my old teacher from my beloved secondary school. She was my F5 form teacher, my english teacher, our prefect teacher.... a very funny, cute, nice, and easily get stress-out teacher. heheeh....

Havta work for another 26 days......aarrghhhhh.....
